With a typical computer printer we are used to thinking that the more dark areas that are printed, the more ink the printer will use. Printing a poster with a lot of reverse text could drain the ink supply! And those ink cartridges are expensive!

Monochrome poster printers* don't use ink cartridges. The color is included as a part of the paper. The cost to print the two posters above is exactly the same. Printing reverse text and images does not use more supplies, so you have the freedom to design your posters the way you want -- without worrying about ink cartridge costs.

*The ProImage Plus and XL3000 poster printers are monochrome poster printers. They use two color paper, allowing you to print text and images in one color, on a different color background. The available color combinations are listed below, along with all the reverse color combinations. (e.g. if you purchase blue on white paper, you can also print white on blue posters and banners).
